Environmental management system promotion organization

In addition to promoting the acquisition of environmental management system certification, maintaining and renewing it, and monitoring CO2 emissions, water intake, and industrial waste volumes at our global bases, we are promoting corporate activities that reduce the environmental burden.

English version of organization chart

Medium-term environmental goals

Kinugawa Rubber participates in the Keidanren-Japan Rubber Manufacturers Association’s Environmental Voluntary Action Plan and is striving to reduce the environmental burden of CO2 emissions, industrial waste final disposal volume, and VOC (volatile organic compound) emissions at its main domestic bases. Masu.
For global locations, we monitor energy usage, CO2 emissions, industrial waste generation, and water usage every year, and report energy usage, CO2 emissions, and water usage to CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project, an environmental NPO). I am reporting.

Activity details2022 goals2022 resultsEvaluation
1Carbon neutralCO2 emissionsReduction Our bases in Japan will aim to reduce CO2 emissions by 46% by 2030, starting from 2013.
The reduction target for fiscal 2022 was 24.0%, but the actual result was 36.3%, exceeding the target.
36.3% reduction
2Reduction of industrial wasteReduction of final disposal amount *1Maintain reduction of 95% or more from 2001 until 2025100% reduction
Reduction of final disposal rate *2Maintain recycling rate of 85% by 202595%
3Reducing VOC emissionsReduction in emissions of 17 designated substances *350% or more reduction compared to fiscal 2000 standards63.0% reduction

*1. Amount of final waste disposal (direct): Amount disposed of by the company in landfills

*2. Final waste disposal rate (direct/indirect): Amount disposed of in landfill by processing companies/Total amount generated

*3. VOC emissions: Total amount of 17 designated substances contained in the materials used
We have achieved our VOC target, but in order to reach our target even further, we are proceeding with plans to install equipment at our global bases to change to water-based surface treatment.

Environmental data

Global environmental data

We also monitor environmental data at our global locations and strive to reduce our environmental impact.

Water resource input

Reduce usage of water resources such as groundwater.
We conducted a comprehensive inspection of equipment related to water resources at each site of the Kinugawa Rubber Group. We will continue to make effective use of water resources by continuing inspections and updating the circulating water system to reduce wastewater volume.
